100 days of blogging (#1/100)

I’ve put this off for I don’t know how long. Like any other aspirant blogger, I have day dreamed about writing a banger after a banger of a blog. just like the arguments in my head in which I keep winning, the blogs in my head are deep, long, and engaging. They are witty, thought provoking, and well researched.

First there was the finding a name for the blog. Then there was finding the platform for the blog. What if I want to move to another platform? What if want to make it a newsletter(lol)? Like the dogs in my street that have no clue what to do after they catch up with you - now that I have actually ended up making multiple accounts on various platforms, I am clueless of what to say and write. The fear of accepting my mediocrity looms larger than the shame of my empty accounts.

So for the first blog, I’m going to write about what I’m want to write. It is less of a preview to you all and more of a guideline for my future self. I want to remember why I am starting this and hold this first one as a compass I can keep getting back to.

  1. Do not write to impress random strangers on the internet.
  2. Write it as an exercise for your mind and to clear up some of the clutter
  3. Brief and to the point is better than deep and floral
  4. Try not to waste time on unimportant things - I would give myself the chance to have cheat days on this
  5. Talk about things that only you can bring a fresh perspective on. Do not join random online pissing contests
  6. Don’t be afraid to fail in public and write bad grammar
  7. Writing 40% of the blog is better than 0%
  8. Expect no outcome from this futile exercise. There is no book at the end of this.
  9. This is for fun and it should not become a chore
  10. Educate - Agitate - Organize
